Calculations and saved shopping lists
Your dimensions, bag sizes, densities and supplier prices are calculated on your device. Calculator inputs are not sent to our server. Estimates you add to the shopping list are stored in your browser’s local storage under bedbarrow:shopping-list:v1, including your label, quantities, assumptions and optional price. They remain across visits and calculators until you remove entries, select Clear shopping list, or clear this site’s browser data. Storage is limited to 50 estimates.
The list is specific to this browser and device; it is not an account or a cloud backup. Anyone using the same browser profile may see it. Avoid personal information in labels. If local storage is blocked or full, a warning explains that the list is temporary. Removing an entry or clearing the list deletes our stored copy. Printed or saved PDFs remain wherever you put them.
Contact messages
The help form sends your name, reply email, topic and message to a server-side Netlify function and then through Resend to the owner’s private inbox. These details are used to respond to your request or investigate a correction. Do not send sensitive information. The recipient address and mail credentials are never included in website code. A honeypot, signed short-lived form challenge and platform rate limit help limit abuse.
The application does not store contact submissions in a database or log their content. Messages and provider delivery records may remain in the owner’s inbox and Resend’s service. Relevant correspondence is kept while needed to handle the request; no automatic deletion schedule is currently configured. Use the privacy topic on the form for an access or deletion request. Hosting requests
Netlify receives normal request information such as IP address and browser headers to deliver and protect the website. IP information is also used for contact abuse protection. See Netlify’s privacy notice. We do not control its operational retention periods.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics runs only after you explicitly accept using Analytics preferences in the footer, and only when a real measurement ID is configured. Rejecting leaves it unloaded. You can withdraw in the same panel; future collection stops, the page reloads and this site’s Google Analytics cookies are removed. Your preference is saved locally as bedbarrow:analytics-consent:v1 until you change it or clear browser data.
When enabled, analytics records page paths and calculator-success or print actions. It does not receive calculator dimensions, shopping labels, prices, email addresses or contact messages. Page URLs sent to analytics omit query strings and fragments. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled. Google may process network information and set analytics cookies after acceptance; see Google’s privacy notice. There are no advertising scripts or affiliate links.
